Toward Net Zero Water: Impacting Efforts from System Design to Policy Change and Behavior Transformation

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Water awareness and the need for conservation and resiliency have increased with recent fluctuating conditions across the United States, yet willingness to change behavior and invest in policy and infrastructural adaptations is weak. The problem is dire and visible, but many solutions remain abstract. The goal of this workshop is to empower implementation of achievable water budgets and innovative water strategies throughout the integrative design process. Focusing on case studies in contrasting climate zones – the Santa Monica, California City Hall project and the Southface EcoOffice in Atlanta, Georgia – presenters will discuss net zero water design, policy change and post-occupancy behavioral transformation.
