We will use the Seattle 2030 District Water calculator as a tool for a number of hands-on exercises that focus on site scale solutions that optimize district-wide results. Through game-based, iterative scenarios, teams will develop options for managing water while enhancing urban ecology and user engagement. To provide context for the exercises, a number of short ‘water stories’ will be woven throughout the session. Throughout the session, the combination of scenarios and stories will shift the discussion of water from an urban dilemma to how it can become a catalyst for community change.
