The Red List is transforming the design and construction industries as project teams make demands of global manufacturers and their supply chains. However, each LBC project has a uniquely local context for materials decision-making and a unique matrix of barriers and opportunities. This presentation will explore the barriers and opportunities for projects within their local PLACE + COMMUNITY. Presentations from designers and manufacturers will relate the Red List to global and local issues and explore solutions for streamlining the materials specification and documentation process. Models for design team/manufacturer collaboration will be discussed and recommendations for industry transformation will be proposed.
