Dr. Lisa Wipplinger’s 1987 architectural engineering degree spoke to her connecting nature and allowed her to bring together architecture and engineering, theory and practice, art and science, and creativity and problem solving. She spent the first phase of her career as a consulting structural engineer in Seattle, WA. In 1996 she accepted professorship at Kansas State University and then moved on to West Point in 2001. Dr. Lisa Wipplinger currently participates in the creative community of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. She continues profound, mindful work in sustainability as president of Savvy Structures and executive director of the nonprofit National Water Center.
